In the latest beta (version 17.6.663424) of the Android Auto app, we’ve spotted fresh UI elements, including a weather animation with a raccoon. We’ve also found new Quick Settings tiles in Android Auto, which work much like those on Android phones, letting you tweak key settings quickly without hunting through menus.
Just like on Android, these Quick Settings tiles sit at the top of the notifications shade, reachable by tapping the battery and signal icons—not by swiping down from the screen’s top edge.
For now, only a “Do Not Disturb” tile appears as an option at the top of the notification panel. That toggle lets you switch DND on or off for the connected phone. The tile also picks up the system’s accent color to show when it’s active.
Like Android, these Quick Settings tiles appear at the top of the notifications shade, which you can access by tapping the battery and signal strength icons (not by swiping down from the top edge of the screen).
